Working for EDF in Haute-Savoie
The HYDRO Exploitation assembly team carried out maintenance work on two power plants in the French Alps at the end of last year. Quality work and adherence to deadlines were highly appreciated by the client.
Two EDF plants in the French Alps recently received the services of HYDRO Exploitation’s assembly team. After being commissioned to work on the power plants at Giffre and Bioge which installations are between 30 and 60 years old, not only did HYDRO Exploitation carry out its mandate in full, we were also able to deal with unexpected tasks and put forward practical solutions tailored to the situation at hand. Our expertise stems from many years of similar work that uses the essential skills of machining, assembly, sandblasting, painting, welding and grinding offered at our Central Workshops in Martigny.
Highly valued technical and business relations
EDF Hydro Maintenance Alpes particularly appreciated the quality of technical and business relations, as well as HYDRO Exploitation’s drive to honour its promises. The outcome: quality work realised on time, with technical results that meet expectations.
The work at Bioge involved dismantling the water tanks and intake elbows for testing, as well as repairing the Francis turbine wheels on unit 4. The seals on the servomotor of the foot valve have been replaced too. At the Giffre power plant, malfunctions had been identified in the water tanks, which meant they needed to be dismantled and completely overhauled.
